FAQ

Are reservations accepted?

Reservations are accepted through Tock, in-person, or by phone. During the peak months of the summer we only accept reservations for large groups, and patio tables are walk-in only.

What are your peak times?

Peak times are between 6:30 and 8:00 pm, daily. Expect us to be busier Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes! Although reservations are recommended at the weekend, we have the ability to add you to a waitlist and send you a text message when a table becomes available, should we be full.

Can I change my reservation?

Absolutely. You can amend your reservation via OpenTable or contact us at 403 760 3933. Advanced notice would be appreciated.

Why is your menu online? How do I see it?

In 2020 we, along with many other businesses, made the decision to go paperless. The removal of printed menus improves hygiene, saves space, allows us to update the menu instantly, and reduces the environmental costs of reprinting and updating menus.

Our online menu can be accessed by scanning the QR codes in our restaurant with either your smartphone camera or QR scanner app. Alternatively you can access it through the link on this website.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

We do! Our dining hall and patio have free public Wi-Fi to help you access the online menu and share your dining experience. The password is written on our QR stickers in the restaurant and on our blackboard.

I have dietary restrictions. What can you do for me?

Please inform your server of any dietary concerns when you place your order.

We accommodate many restrictions (vegan, gluten-free, allergies etc.) on our menu, and we are happy to guide you through the options available to you. Our interactive menu also features a legend of common allergens for each dish.

We take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, however we still encourage those with serious allergies to carry an EpiPen (legal regulations do not allow us to carry them on premise)

Do you serve alcohol?

We have a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and craft cocktails as well as non-alcoholic alternatives. You must be over 18 years of age to consume and hold a valid government-issued ID.

Are you fully vegetarian or vegan?

Both! While we do not serve meat, our plant-based dishes are delicious for any appetite. Our entire menu is vegetarian by default, and everything can also be ordered vegan by substituting in our house-made vegan cheese and sauces in place of dairy.

How do you make things vegan or gluten-free?

Vegan substitutes for dairy are usually made using almond or oat milk (as in cocktails, teas, coffees and our house-made vegan queso), cashews (as in our vegan cheesecakes and Glowfood cheese), coconut cream (as in our vegan ravioli sauce), coconut oil (as in our Righteous Gelato), chickpeas (as in our vegan omelets), or aquafaba (as in our vegan dressings and cocktails).

Our gluten-free options generally use alternative flour in production, such as chickpea flour, or require substitution to a gluten-free bun. Our gluten-free beer options use alternative bases such as sorghum, millet, corn or rice in place of barley and wheat.

While a large proportion of our dishes are vegan or gluten-free by default, sometimes modification is required. While this is indicated on the menu, always be sure to ask if you are unsure.

Where does your food come from?

Where possible, we look to support local and sustainable small businesses in our kitchen and on our bar.

For example, our pasta is made locally by Canmore Pasta Company, our artisan vegan cheese is made in Banff by Glowfood, our kombucha and syrups are made in Banff by Om Cooking, our vegan charcuterie ‘mheats’ are supplied by Charcuterie YYC, and our gelato comes from Righteous Gelato in Calgary.

Do you have take out?

Yes! Our food is all available to go. Payment is taken in advance, in person or with a credit card by phone.

Do you deliver?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer delivery at this time. Some cab drivers in town will pick up and deliver for a small fee.

What is a gratuity?

A gratuity is something given voluntarily or beyond obligation in the service industry. Quality service is customarily recognized with an 18%–22% gratuity. If you feel your experience at Nourish could have been better, we would be grateful if you could let one of our lovely managers make this a reality for you, before you are finished dining with us. We always have time to help.

It is additionally customary in Banff for establishments to add an automatic gratuity of 18% to parties with special requirements or large groups. We do this at our discretion.
