July 26, 2017  8:00 pm Dinner Show

Dana Sipos + Owen Steel

Dana Sipos is a folk-noir artist who inhabited the far north before going nomad. A true songsmith, Sipos’ captivatingly nuanced songs are filled with a wild wind. She tours by tall ship, canoe and bicycle. Her 2015 album Roll Up the Night Sky, released on Nashville indie label Muddy Roots Records, was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award in the Pushing the Boundaries category. Fresh from the inaugural singer-songwriter residency at the Banff Centre, a new album will stretch out with the next spring thaw.

Blue Ridge (live)

Tied to curiosities such as wild animals, time travel, hobos, food, and lust, Owen sings his way through an assortment of idiosyncratic garage / folk material, occasionally popping up in random corners around the globe, making his way under the radar and into your (h)ear(t).

Old Man Lammes (live)

  • “Loved the whole experience
This was my favorite restaurant in Banff. The food was amazing and tasty. Loved the atmosphere of the place and the staff were helpful and friendly. . . Also enjoyed the cocktail.”

  • “We wanted to try out this Banff restaurant after reading about it before our trip. So glad we went. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed. The plates are designed for sharing. We tried an amazing coconut beet soup, a fabulous noodle dish, and a mushroom ravioli with a great sauce. The staff made sure to ask about any food allergies or intolerances during ordering. The food was presented so beautifully and was so delicious. Such a great, memorable meal.”

  • “Awesome cafe
Loved this cafe; the serving staff is knowledgable, friendly and just the right balance of attentive but not overly so. Food is deeeeelicious! Beer was good too. Great selection.”
